Player of the Week
Week 1 (November 29-December 5)
The Lions started off the 09-10 season with a non-conference win at home against Davenport Central, 52-46. The next day, the team traveled to Bettendorf for another non-conference game. In a close game, Linn-Mar came up short, 53-56. Marcus Paige stood out the most to State of the Union in those two games. Against the Davenport Central Blue Devils, he scored 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, had 4 steals, and a block. On Saturday at Bettendorf, Marcus had 15 points, 3 rebounds, 6 steals, and 2 blocks.

Week 2 (December 6-12)
Linn-Mar had two more games in Week 2. Friday night, the Lions had their first conference game. They defeated Dubuque Senior 69-55 at the Linn-Mar gym. Saturday night, the team traveled to Decorah where they picked up an easy win, 84-56. For the first time in SOTU history, we have co-players of the week. Marcus Paige had a great week with 16 points and 3 rebounds Friday and 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals Saturday. Matt Bohannon racked up 27 points, shooting 6 for 10 from 3-point land, on Friday night. He also had a rebound and a steal. Saturday night, Matt had 5 points, 2 points, and a steal.

Linn-Mar had three more games in Week 3. Matt Bohannon had a great week and is the Week 3 Player of the Week. Tuesday night, the Lions played at Dubuque Hempstead. They came home with a 70-49 win. In that win, Matt had 17 points, 5 rebounds, and a steal. In Friday nights 69-35 win over Prairie, Matt scored 11 points. He also had a rebound and a block. In Saturdays non-conference game against Sioux City North, Matt racked up 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
